304/316 Stainless Steel Black Rod

316 stainless steel black rods generally have many classifications for stainless steel rods, which are divided according to surface treatment, then there will be stainless steel black rods, stainless steel acid white rods, stainless steel bright rods, and stainless steel grinding rods.  

Its corresponding application is also very extensive.  Different stainless steel black rod series are applied in different directions.  For example, 316L stainless steel bars generally contain relatively low molybdenum and carbon content, and are very suitable for use in marine or chemical industries.  Another example is 304L stainless steel bar, which has the best corrosion resistance, so it is suitable for use in some anti-corrosion environments.  There are also 304 stainless steel bars, which have good corrosion resistance and heat resistance, as well as low temperature strength and mechanical properties, which are better in tableware, cabinets and boilers.

304 stainless steel is a common stainless steel. It is also called 18/8 stainless steel in the industry, but it has good rust resistance and temperature resistance. It is much stronger than 201 stainless steel and cheaper than SUS316 stainless steel.  so it is widely used in life, such as: tableware, decoration, guardrails, doors and windows, etc.

316 stainless steel is better in high temperature resistance. According to the 316 stainless steel test, the temperature resistance limit of 316 stainless steel is 800 degrees Celsius, which has a certain high temperature resistance. 309S stainless steel has a high temperature resistance of 980 degrees Celsius, and 310S stainless steel can reach 1200 degrees Celsius. It can be seen that  316 stainless steel is a relatively moderate material in temperature resistance.
